Password Reset in Beam


Password reset can only be performed from the Beam mobile app.

? Password Reset via the Web Application


➡️ Only the “Master” user (the initial account creator in Beam) can reset their password from the web application.


➡️ All other users (Coworkers, Managers, and Area Managers) can reset their password only through the Beam mobile app.

? New: Managers Can Reset a Coworker’s Password


Managers now have the ability to set or change a coworker’s password.


? To do this:

1️⃣ Go to the “Access” tab in the user’s profile.

2️⃣ In the section “Coworker’s access password for Web and Mobile”, enter a new password.

3️⃣ Click the “Save” button on the right to confirm.

? Beam Login Credentials


Each user’s Beam login credentials consist of three elements:


1️⃣ Company name → Typically formatted with hyphens (e.g., my-company).

2️⃣ Username → Usually in the format firstname.lastname. If necessary, it may be adjusted to avoid duplicates (e.g., firstname.lastname1.lastname2).

3️⃣ Personal password.


PIN Access for Clocking In:

Coworkers may also have a PIN code, used exclusively for clocking in from a shared device (tablet or computer) in a store or workplace.

? How to Reset a Password via the Beam Mobile App?


1️⃣ On the Beam mobile app login screen, enter:

    •    Company name

    •    Username

2️⃣ Instead of entering a password, click “Not yet” at the bottom left when asked “Do you have a password?”.

3️⃣ A security code will be sent via SMS to the phone number linked to the user’s profile.

4️⃣ Enter this security code in the app.

5️⃣ Set a new password.


This security code is only used to set a new password and does not allow direct login.

? Ensuring Your Phone Number is Updated in Beam


Your mobile phone number must be correctly registered and up to date in Beam.

Without a valid number, you will not receive the SMS for password reset.


➡️ To update your phone number, ask your Manager, who can modify it from the “Access” tab in your coworker profile within the Beam web application.

As an alternative, you can ask to your Manager to enter in your profile on the webapp and go to the tab "Access" and assign a new password from there
