Creating and Activating a New Coworker in Beam

The first step is to create the coworker’s profile from the “Coworkers” menu in the left-side panel.

Steps to create a new profile:

1️⃣ Go to the “Coworkers” menu.

2️⃣ Click on the “Create a New Coworker” button at the top.

3️⃣ Follow the steps to complete the profile creation.

? Sending Login Credentials to the Coworker

Once the profile is created, and when you are ready to activate the coworker’s access, you can send their login credentials to Beam as follows:

? The coworker will receive an SMS on their mobile phone (based on the number entered in their profile) containing:

✔️ The COMPANY name.

✔️ The USERNAME.

✔️ The link to download the Beam app.

? Account Activation by the Coworker

1️⃣ Open the Beam app and enter the company name.

2️⃣ Enter the username.

3️⃣ At this step, click “Not yet” in response to the question “Do you have a password?”.

4️⃣ Receive an SMS with a security code to create a secure password.

5️⃣ Enter this code and set a new password.

6️⃣ Click “Next” to access the Beam app home screen.

If shifts have already been created and published, the coworker will see their next two scheduled shifts directly on their home screen.

? Adding the Coworker to a Calendar to Assign Shifts

To schedule shifts for the new coworker, they must first be added to the corresponding calendar:

1️⃣ Go to the relevant calendar.

2️⃣ Click on “Coworkers of this calendar”.

3️⃣ Select the coworker from the list, which is based on the workplaces assigned to each profile.

Once added, the coworker will be able to receive and view their work schedules in the app.
