Targets are predefined lists of users that allow us to assign tasks to a group of collaborators who are Beam users.

The advantage of using targets lists based on organizational elements such as establishments, calendars, or areas is that these lists are dynamic, meaning they update automatically. For example, if we create an audience based on the Orense store:

    •    Every time a new user is added to the Orense store, they will automatically be included in the audience list for that store.

    •    When a user’s profile is updated to remove the Orense store or the profile is archived when the user leaves, they will automatically be removed from the audience list for that store.

Additionally, without removing the store from the user’s profile, we can deactivate the user from all audience lists via the “Access” tab in their user profile in Beam.

This interface enables better management of the company’s organizational levels within Beam and, by default, does not include store managers or managers from other organizational levels unless they are also working shifts at that store.

Alternatively, there is an option to include managers from the organizational level or higher levels in the audience.

NOTE:

When we create and save an audience list based on a list of establishments, we have the option to assign tasks using “Execution by store/establishment” when creating a new task. This allows the task to be assigned to the entire team of each store included in the audience.

Alternatively, if we choose the “Execution by employees” option and the audience includes several stores/establishments, we can select two execution types for each section of the task:

    •    Individual: Each employee in the audience (i.e., all employees from all these stores/establishments) must complete this section of the task.

    •    Shared: This section is shared among all employees in the audience, meaning the first employee to complete it does so for the entire group.

It is now also possible to create audiences based on employee skills criteria. You can find more information about this in this entry.
