Managing Skills and Competencies in Beam


It is possible to define skills or competencies and assign them to coworker profiles in the Beam platform.


This allows, for example, the creation of audiences to assign tasks to specific groups of coworkers based on their skills.

? Step 1: Creating Skills


Skills are defined at the company account level in Beam.


Accessing Skills:

1️⃣ Go to the Employee Management menu (left sidebar).

2️⃣ Select the “Skills” tab.

3️⃣ Add or manage the skills needed for coworker assignments.


Examples of skills:

    •    Customer Service

    •    Sales & Consulting

    •    Inventory Management

    •    Technical Maintenance

    •    Foreign Languages

? Step 2: Assigning Skills to Coworkers


Once skills are created, they can be assigned to each coworker:


From the coworker’s profile:

1️⃣ Go to the “Coworker Information” tab.

2️⃣ Select one or more skills to associate with the profile.

? Step 3: Using Skills for Task Management


With skills assigned to coworkers, it becomes possible to:

✔️ Create specific audience lists.

✔️ Assign tasks to groups of coworkers based on their skills.
