How to Activate Time Tracking and Work Hour Logging
Time tracking activation is done for each workplace or store, specifically at the schedule level.
If multiple schedules exist for the same store or workplace, time tracking can be activated differently for each schedule.
Activation from the Schedule View
? Go to:
? Schedule Options ➝ Schedule Settings
In the Schedule Settings view, under the “Clock-In” tab, you will find the “Work Time Tracking” section.
1. Go to the “Enable/Disable” tab to activate this feature.
2. Then, go to the “Geolocation” tab.
First, enable the geolocation control option if desired, and then search for your workplace.
Locating Your Workplace on Google Maps
1. Search for your workplace in the Google Maps field by name and/or postal address.
2. Several location suggestions will appear; select the one corresponding to your workplace.
3. Beam will automatically integrate the location, including its latitude and longitude coordinates.
Manually Adjusting the Workplace Location
? IMPORTANT:
• If the postal address and Google’s suggested location do not match the actual geographical position of your workplace (which is common for shopping malls), you can click directly on the map to adjust the location.
• Beam will automatically update the workplace’s position based on your selection.
Manually Entering GPS Coordinates
If none of the above methods work, you can manually enter the GPS coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) for the store or workplace.
How to Find the Coordinates?
1️⃣ Open Google Maps
2️⃣ Search for the store or workplace location
3️⃣ Once located with the Red Pin, right-click on the location and select “What’s here?”
4️⃣ The GPS coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) will appear at the bottom of the screen
? IMPORTANT: Click the green “Save” button to confirm the activation.
Using Time Tracking
✅ Once activated, for each assigned shift, employees will:
• Receive a notification to clock in and out via the Beam mobile app.
• Have the option to use shared clock-in functionality from a tablet or computer if needed.
