A Point of Action (PA) is a task element assigned to a colleague within the organization to enable specific tracking of its progress.
Sometimes, these PAs are assigned to colleagues who are not part of the task being executed.
For example, when the action involves maintenance, repair, or logistics: “Repair the air conditioning at store XX.”
PAs can also be assigned directly to collaborators without being created from a specific task.
This means that a Manager can use this module to manage their own personal “To-Do list,” in addition to PAs assigned by other Managers.
What are the components of a Point of Action?
It’s very simple; a PA consists of three elements:
- Title: The description of the action to be completed.
- Collaborator: The name of the person to whom the PA is assigned.
- Deadline: An expected due date for completing the PA.
- Image: to add visual context if that helps
How is a Point of Action created?
From the Progress Tracking view of any task, whether on the web or the mobile app, you can create a PA for any element within a section of type “form,” using the three-dot menu located in the upper-right corner of that form element.
Once created, the Point of Action appears with the basic elements, along with the name of the establishment associated with the PA when applicable.
• If the due date has passed, the PA will appear in red.
• If the PA is completed, the text will appear struck through, and the indicator dot will turn green.
Who can create Points of Action in Tasks?
The users authorized to create Points of Action must be Managers, task creators, or collaborators included in the audience as task Editors.
Who can complete Points of Action?
Any user with the role of Employee or Manager can complete the Points of Action assigned to them, both from the Beam web application and the mobile app, via the “My Points of Action” tab.
