In some situations, it may be necessary to manually adjust an overtime counter.
These situations can arise from a contract start date or a change in contractual working hours that takes place midweek. Indeed, when such a change occurs on a day other than Monday, the overtime counter may not correctly calculate the number of working hours for the week.
Depending on how work is organized in certain establishments, or in cases where employment contracts specify exact schedules for an employee, the system for calculating weekly working hours based on contractual rules may not always be accurate when there are holidays or vacation days.
In these cases, a manual adjustment to the overtime counter may be necessary for a specific week.
Here’s how to proceed:
Click on the Balance row of the counter.
In the window that opens, enter the adjustment value in hours (+/-).
Click on Confirm.
If everything is correct, click the Save button located in the top-right corner (it will be orange when there are values to save).
Note: Only the hours listed in the "Hours to Pay" row are included in the weekly, monthly, and annual hour reports.
Hours resulting from manual adjustments are not reported as hours to pay.
To improve readability, a counter with a manual adjustment will have its balance value underlined.
In the weekly view of the schedule, when there is a manual adjustment in an overtime counter, a "Manual Adjustment" row will appear.
