Currently, to avoid compatibility issues with video editing, distribution, and playback, only video content published on YouTube is supported.
You can upload a video privately on YouTube, restricting access to only those with the URL.
By copying and pasting this URL into the Beam content editor, the video will be embedded into the module.
Adding and Sharing Videos from YouTube
Introduction:
YouTube is a widely used video-sharing platform that allows users to upload, view, and share videos with a global audience. In a professional setting, YouTube can be a valuable tool for sharing information, training materials, and marketing content with customers, employees, and partners.
How to Add Videos from YouTube
1. Access YouTube Studio:
Log in to your YouTube account and go to YouTube Studio, the management interface for your YouTube channel.
2. Select the Video to Share:
Locate the video you want to share from your YouTube channel.
3. Get the Video Link:
Click on the “Share” button below the video.
Copy the provided link from the pop-up window.
4. Share the Video Link:
Paste the copied link into the appropriate field on the platform where you want to embed the video.
Sharing Private Videos
If you want to share a private video, you must first generate a specific shareable link. Follow these steps:
1. Open YouTube Studio and select your private video.
2. Click on the “Visibility” button.
3. Select “Unlisted” (so only people with the link can view it).
4. Copy the generated link from the “Share Link” section.
5. Share the copied link with the intended audience.

Viewing the Video on Beam
Once the link is pasted into the Beam interface, you will see a preview thumbnail of your video and be able to play it.
You can also view and play the video from the course content preview view, both in web format and in the mobile app format.
