To start a new company in Beam, it is necessary to define a start date.
This date is set in the General Calendar Settings.
As a result, the system does not have any information about possible pending PTO balances (taken or not taken) that some employees may have carried over from the previous period (before the first period in Beam).
To account for these potential balances, you can enter the corresponding value in the “Initial Balance” field, located below the PTO days counter for the period, in the employee’s contractual period, under the Contracts tab in the employee’s profile.
? NOTE: It is important to click outside the input field after entering the value and then press the “Save” button.
This way, the system will include this balance in the employee’s PTO counters, under the “Carried Over Days” column for the corresponding period.
